Captain’s Log: Day One on Planet Progress…

I got a lot done today. I “finished” my unfired lamp, and made a couple of ash trays. I really enjoy this whole sculpting thing. I plan on photographing the lamp tomorrow, when there’s better light, and it’s had more time to harden. The ashtrays might get put on here too….no promises. I really think I might succeed at this art thing after-all!

FAIL!

None of my 3 pieces got into the annual student show. I was pretty bummed, and still kinda am, since I spent a whole day matting those things. I’m evaluating my ablilites as an artist, becuase I don’t want to waste anybody’s time learning something I’m no good at. Scans to come…

Coming Soon…

I’m working on scanning things, and moving into my new home here. I plan on buying the domain: tubbytangents.com , or maybe just tubbytango.com, and getting this experiment off the ground. I submitted a few things into a student show at school today. I dunno if I’ll get in, but let’s hope so. <3
